In honor of Kai's big day, we did a few fun things throughout the day. While Kai was sleeping last night, we hung streamers outside his door and balloons across the ceiling in the living room and a handmade banner in his room. When he woke up, mama and dada both went in and sang the happy birthday song to him which he loved. he kept asking for it again and again throughout the day - so sweet!
When he got up and saw the streamers he LOVED running in and out of his room!
checking out the balloons!
We had some fun bedroom Lego time with daddy before he had to leave for work
Checking out one of the balloons

Then after breakfast Kai and I headed out to Pump It Up - an inside play area where they have a bunch of blow up jumpy houses and slides. Kai of course found the only little car in the place and drove it around fred flintstone style
Then he was off to jump jump!!
Kai's friend Hailey joined us for some jumping fun!
After Pump It Up, we came home and found an awesome gift from Kai's friend "Baby Ella" a cool wooden circus with little people, animals and cars!
Kai sent out his public service announcement:
And then we walked over so Kai could help mama vote!
He even put the ballot in the box to help out!
Then we both got a sticker!
After nap, we went on a bike ride around the neighborhood and ran into our favorite neigborhood cat
Laying down to go "night - night" with the kitty
When Daddy came home we busted out Kai's birthday present...
What is it? LEGOS!!!!
Making a call on the tiny lego phone
Oh, dada, it's for you...
Not sure who loves the legos more, Kai or Dada. Look how cute they are!
Lego man with his phone, apparently the call was actually for him :)
It was a really fun day. Kai had a blast and after Legos,
Kai had a cupcake and vigorously blew out the candles.
Yum yum!
And then, the best birthday gift Kai could ask for - Obama gets another four years! Woot woot!
Happy birthday little man, we love you more everyday! This weekend we will be having a small little party with Kai's grandparents at the Discovery Museum, should be lots of fun!
