Climbing and Play

Today I turned around and Kai had climbed up on top of this box I had sitting by my craft table...hmmm, I think the climbing stage has officially begun.

One of the other things Kai loves doing is running over to the dog beds and flinging himself on them, then laughing like it's the funniest thing in the world. Here's a great action shot daddy got yesterday :)

Sneaky Pants takes a nose dive

The other day I went in to get Kai up from his nap and found this:

Somehow Mr. Sneaky Pants had found a way to get his pants off! It hasn't happened again since so I'm not sure if it was a fluke or what, but he was very pleased about it as you can see.

Also, Kai has a new "war wound" Mr. Independent took a nose dive the other day while walking around the block. The fall wasn't bad, he barely even cried, but the next day he was sporting his own version of Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. I have since met lots of people who say their kids had a matching skid mark right around the same age. I guess it's the price of admission to the world of walking.

Going for a walk around the block

Bonus Videos!

Merry Merry!

Kai had a fun christmas (and so did we :)). We started off on Christmas Eve with a fondue party that included all of our parents! Kai was very excited to have so many grandmas and grandpas over to his house all at one time! We enjoyed some cheese fondue, then later whipped up the chocolate fondue. It was lots of fun!

Here is Kai and Grandpa H checking out the Christmas tree

Kai, Gee and Mommy looking at Kai's new favorite book "Peek-a-Who?"

It's so cute because on the last page it says "peek-a- YOU!" and has a little mirror and Kai always puts his face right up to the mirror and gives himself a kiss :)

Grandpas

All the grandparents with the little man. Kai's face cracks me up in this one. This was about the 10th shot and he was over having his picture taken :) ha ha ha!

Rudolf, aka Tutu came for a visit after Kai's bath

Kai wasn't too sure about the santa hat

Right before bedtime, we took a drive over to santa's house

Kai had fun checking out all the lights and people

You may remember this sign from last year :)

Last year - look at that little guy!

Tutu and Kai were checking out the singing polar bear with the penguin back up dancers

 Mommy and daddy

I think I see some candy canes over there!

 That's a giant nutcracker!

Checking to see if santa has any letters

Kai is saying "hey Tutu, did you see that giant nutcracker?"

 The boys

Christmas morning bottle - gotta fuel up before presents!

Kai got a soccer ball from Santa!

He also got an assortment of cool blocks that have fun things inside

One looks like this, when you look at the tree!

We also have some fun glasses that make the lights look cool,
one is snowflakes and the other is snowmen!

Kai got some new musical bath toys they float in the water and the flutes hold different amounts of water for different tones - pretty cool!

Ruby got a new bone, which has already been chewed to pieces...

Marley got a froggie, her favorite little toy that she carries around in her mouth like it's her little baby

Kai got a special book with pictures of people who love him, called "who loves Kai Ray?"

Daddy and Kai playing Kai's new flute

Someone was pretty happy about his new egg shaker

Later on Christmas day we headed down to Auntie Kristen and UncleBob's house for a delicious dinner, we forgot our camera, but will post some pictures of those festivities once we get some pics from Kristen. We hope everyone had as much fun this Christmas as we did. As always we feel very blessed.
