Yosemite!

We had an awesome weekend up in Yosemite! The weather was perfect too! Here are a few pics...

Oh! Before we left we went to our community egg hunt!

A bunch of our friends were there, including Kai's BFF Margaux! :)

And the Easter Bunny!

then a long drive....

We made it!!

Quick hike up to Bridal Vail Falls when we got there :)

Stretching our legs before heading to our hotel to check in...

The next morning we headed out on a hike to Mirror Lake below Half Dome. Instead of the paved path we decided to hike the entire trail! 5 Miles! and Kai did an awesome job on his longest hike ever! :)

He also climbed on about 100 rocks along the way :)

Kai checking out some of the reflections that were so amazing on this hike.

Me below Half Dome. I have been to the top twice and we told Kai when he is +/-13 we will go to the top again! (that should give me enough time to get back into shape too! haha)

Pit stop for a rest in the Yosemite Wilderness.

Kai with his hiking stick he found which really helped him test some of the soggy ground before he stepped on it.

 Along the trail...

We made it to the bridge up above Miror Lake!! This was a big deal when we made it, and we all celebrated.

Our amazing little hiker :)

 Stopping for a snack.

Kai finally needed a lift and I got to enjoy Mater driving through my hair for about the last mile! haha :)

 Mirror Lake

A garden of ever changing rock sculptures up at the lake.

Climbing more rocks!

Kai showing us where we went before the shuttle bus picked us back up.

Our next hike was up to the bridge below Vernal Falls. Again, Kai climbed up every rock he could find. In this pic he was literally saying, come up here and get me! He eventually slid down which I knew he would :)

We made it! And all that water is LOUD!! Kai had to hold his ears :)

See the people at the top! We can't wait to go up the Mist Trail with Kai when he is ready.

 Mama rock :)

Yosemite Falls in the background & Kai being silly.

It was an awesome trip & we had so much fun on the longer hikes we set out on even though they were sometimes tough. We are so proud of our little rock climber! :) Until next time... We already miss you Yosemite.
