Love beam little bro

This little face just melts my heart. Look at this sweet toothy smile. Today we worked on a couple birthday cards for Kai while he was away at school. Hard to believe big bro will be 6 on Sunday!

Trick or Treat!

We had a super fun Halloween this year. Kai started out wanting to be a ninja, but then after discovering he couldn't bring weapons to school, he changed his mind and decided to be a cobra instead. I put together a costume using an old sweatshirt and some felt I had in my fabric box. My mom always made costumes for me and it's super fun to carry on that tradition. Cruz did school drop off as a cheeseburger which was also a hit. For trick or treating Kai and Cruz went as skeleton brothers. Mark was Frankenstein and I was a witch. Mark whipped up his "head" after work and did an awesome job. Kickin' it old school Halloween style. It was pouring rain but we braved the elements anyway along with some of Kai's best buddies. We were soaked by the time we got home but had a blast. Who can complain about free candy and a fun time with friends?!

Here's a few pictures from our day.

Kai's teacher dressed as a tree

Kai, showing off his costume - it takes a lot of guts for a 5 year old to get up in front of his class like that, I was proud of his bravery!
